Dorich House Museum Love Artists Valentine’s Weekend
Dorich was named by its makers, a combination of the first names of Dora Gordine and Hon. Richard Hare. The 1930s love story built into the beautiful Grade II listed building on Kingston Vale. The sculptor and the academic created the house to be a studio and gallery for Gordine’s work as well as a home for the two of them to share. The Museum allows visitors to explore the studio home, being able to see Gordine’s work on display where it was originally created. You can also see the impressive Russian collection, accumulated by Hare and his wife during their lives.

To celebrate Valentine’s and the love that built the house and to support our local artists, Dorich House Museum is holding a ‘Love Artists Valentine’s Weekend’ 11-13 February where local artists can explore the house for free, taking in the art and romance of the building as well as being able to see an artist-designed studio home complete with the work created there.
