The Museum is currently looking for a part-time Venue and Events Coordinator to take responsibility for the effective coordination of operational activities at the venue, the successful delivery of internal University events, and the development and delivery of external hire events generating vital income. The job purpose includes: acting as first point of contact for enquiries; preparing for visitors; opening at advertised times; preparing for, coordinating, and hosting University and income-generating activities, including the handling and setting up of equipment and furniture; administrating budgets and financial transactions; ensuring the venue is fully stocked and equipped; inspecting and reporting damage or wear on the collection, building or grounds. The job involves working very flexible hours including evenings, weekends and standard office hours as required, to deliver the Museum’s events programme.
