Kingston Artists Open Studios

Dorich House is taking part in Kingston Artists Open Studios (KAOS) this year and will be hosting two artists; Anna Topalova, who will demonstrate her acrylic paperwork and painting techniques and Anna Bingham who will demonstrate her sculptural technique.

Artist demonstrations on Saturdays from 11:15am.
Free tea and coffee from 11am -12 noon on open studio Saturdays.

Kingston International Film Festival Screening

In advance of Kingston International Film Festival in June, we are delighted to be hosting a preview evening of three short films, to be screened in our beautiful first floor Modelling Studio, followed by a panel discussion with the film creators.
The films are; You Are a Good Kid by Bhavishay Kher (Kingston School of Art graduate), The Return by Shelagh McLeod and Triptych: Three Studies of Love by Jack Snell and Morgan Wallington (Kingston School of Art students).

Doors Open at 5:30pm for a chance to see the museum and enjoy refreshments. Screening starts at 6:30pm.

Banner Making Workshop

Join Kingston School of Art’s Splinter Collective as they lead a community banner making workshop at Stanley Picker Gallery and Dorich House Museum. Feeding into the themes of Cultural Diversity Week, visitors, students and staff can add text, graphics and icons to the large scale fabric banner, sharing their reflections on home, community, climate crisis and migration.

The banner making will take place at Stanley Picker Gallery on Tuesday 21 May from 2pm – 4pm and at Dorich House Museum on Thursday 23 May from 2pm – 4pm before being exhibited at Dorich House Garden Party on Saturday 15 June.

This event forms part of the Cultural Diversity Week programme.

Inside, visit Dorich House Museum’s collections, explore work by current Kingston University students studying BA Fine Art and view the shortlisted pieces from the REMET bronze casting competition.
