Kingston Artists Open Studios 2026 | 07 – 16 May 2026

Thursday 07 – Saturday 16 May 2026 | Free | Drop-in

For this year’s Kingston Artists Open Studios festival, artist Anna Bingham will be displaying her work in the Dorich House Museum modelling studio. Anna has been exhibiting as an artist for over 10 years, including at Dorich House Museum in 2024, with her practice covering drawing, painting and ceramics.

Anna says of her work “What I make is inspired by a love of landscapes and gardens, suburban wilderness and weeds. I make my large ceramic vessels slowly, influenced by traditional and ancient shapes. The making process is meditative and peaceful. The smaller works are more playful, I let them be and they completely change as they come together – if I have a loose plan to begin with they almost always deviate and become clearer as I go. My paintings are explorations in colour and line, at the moment I feel in these works I am capturing a form which can dissolve into colour on the paper. Drawing and photographing outdoors leads on to paintings which are recently becoming more abstract, expressing my feelings and observing being in nature.”

As well as seeing Anna’s work on display, visitors on Saturday 9 and 16 May will be able to see Anna give demonstrations of her ceramic sculptural technique.
